While the days of thirty-degree weather and patios may have come to an end, autumn brings along a whole new season of events, celebration and togetherness. From Thanksgiving to Halloween, AGM to the Mentorship Program, CSHP SK Branch has lots to keep you busy while the leaves outside begin to change.
First off, CSHP SK Branch would like to congratulate members Bill Semchuk, Laura Almas, Lori Albers, Lynette Kosar, and Caitlin Roy on the very successful CCPN Conference held Saturday, September 16th at the Hilton DoubleTree in Regina. All in attendance can agree that they left with some gained insight into the upcoming changes in the world of cardiology as well as a better understanding of how to incorporate some new medication and new evidence into their everyday practice. Amazing job!
Fortunately, the learning doesn’t stop there. CSHP SK Branch AGM & Educational Sessions will be taking place October 20th and October 21st in Saskatoon. The festivities begin Friday night with a celebration of our members at the Harvest Banquet Awards Night taking place at The Glen at Crossmount. Enjoy the beautiful landscape, some delicious cider and the company of you colleagues at this stunning venue. Educational events and the annual general meeting will take place on Saturday at the Sheraton Cavalier Hotel. Register now online through CSHP SK Branch’s Eventbrite website (opens in a new tab/window)!
Fall also marks the beginning of a new year of the Mentorship Program. This program involves pairing pharmacy students from the U of S interested in or curious about hospital pharmacy practice with mentors to help guide them and answer questions. Our student representatives have been working diligently to continue on improving and expanding this excellent initiative. If you are interested in becoming a mentor, please contact Stephanie Zimmer at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also indicate your interest when registering for the AGM and Educational Sessions.
See you in Saskatoon! Cheers!
